To remove the door pull it toward you. Next you ll need to remove the adjustment screws by accessing them on the side panels at the bottom of the door. Sliding glass doors are a popular feature found in most homes. As sliding glass doors age and components break or fail you can rely on the glass guru to help you assess the issues and determine the best coarse of action to get them repaired quickly and cost effectively.

The door guide is usually located in the center of the doors. Slide the door till it hits this point. Step 3 remove the glass stationary door have someone help you lift the door then pull the bottom of the door outward toward you and out of the lower track. Lift up to disengage the rollers from the top track and pull the door out.

The top of the door will still be inserted into the top track so lower the door until the top door edge clears the upper track. Insert the screwdriver at the bottom to lift the rollers from the track. Remove this cap because as you ll notice it is covering a gap inside of which is a screw. If your sliding glass doors don t have the screen door then you may move on to the next step.

Open the door and ask your helper to slightly lift the screen door. Use your cordless drill and philips drill bit to remove the door guide from the floor. To remove the screen door use a flathead screwdriver. On the bottom edge of the door you ll notice a cap.
